Supreme court has been urged recently to re open the case of MK Gandhis murder by an Indian Maharashtrian citizen. There are loop holes in the judgement given long ago. the Hon court agreed to address the problem.Will skeletons roll out of cup board? There have been doubts that
there was probably another person too who fired at MKG. It is also alleged that a British agency master minded the plot....??????? Graves to be dug soon ! originally in the case, veer Savarkar was implicated. but later he was not found guilty and released. Nathuram Godseand Naryan Apte were sentenced to death and hanged. Narayan Apte supplied the auto.. pistol from Gwalior from Dr Parchure. Can anything be achieved by re trying the case now at this belated stage.? I am doubtful whether it will serve any purpose. the petitioner claimed that Maharashtrians are blamed for MKG s murder and wants to erase the blot by claims that there was mother agency that master minded the plot. However Godse killed Gandhi by his pistol and he owned up his action and felt no remorse. It was a day light shooting infront of a big crowd. He claimed that MKG did not deserve natural death and had to be killed. Godse knew that he will be hanged for the crime and was prepared. He did not appeal against the verdict and did not want any one to appeal in favour of him. He happily climbed gallows. it is also a fact that the hon judge who sentenced him declared that if Indian people were to be the jury, Godse would have been exonerated from the crime. such was the tense political situation and dissatisfaction with Gandhi after partition of our land.
