He was German army
colonel from Wehrmacht and took part in 20 July plot. He worked in Vienna as
counter intelligence office and in early 1944 was posted to Command
Headquarters.He was arrested after the failed plot 20 July. He was tried by
people's court on 12 October 1944 and was executed on the same day.
