He was a
low ranking officer in Belzec camp from SS.After war he was arrested by US
forces but was released soon. He was tried in Belzec trials , convicted and
sentenced to 4.5 years prison term for being an accessory to murder in 1964. He
pleaded that he acted in duress. However this was not accepted. He was csentenced
for 15 yeras in earlier trial but was released after 8 years.He was the
adjutant to Christan wirth, the commandant and naturally he must have had good
relations with him. There was no duress
for him. Thus he was not spared and was sentenced, however leniently
taking into account the stiff jail term he served in GDR earlier..
