He was a SS
brigade fuehrer during WW II and he was with 13
infantry division in 1939 and took part in occupation of Poland.He was with
panzer division and and joined Hitlerjugend till 13 nov 1944. He took part in
battle of bulge the famous battle. Later, he was shifted to reserves and
surrendered to US forces along with Gen Dietrich after the war. He was tried in
Malmedy massacre trials at Dachau after
war in a group of 73 members and was
sentenced to ten years in prison. He was released early by 1956. He died in 1959.
