He was a SS. Guard at Neuengamme camp during WW II and took part in murdering 20 school children and four adult care takers at Bullenhuser damm school basement. He was arrested after war and tried at Neuengamme trial 4 at Hamburg by British military court and was sentenced to death. He was hanged in October 1946 at Hamelin prison
