Before the war  she worked as farm girl, shop assistant and housemaid. In January, 1941,  she was arrested by the Gestapo at Giessen because  she was living together with a Pole and was sent to Darmstadt, where  she remained for 13 months in prison. After that she was for varying periods in Ravensbrück, Auschwitz No. 1, Birkenau and Budin [Budy], in all of which places she was an ordinary prisoner without being a functionary. On 27th January, 1945,  she arrived at Belsen as an ordinary prisoner and was in Block 213 for six weeks before being transferred on 6th March to Block 199. She was  made a  Stubenbienst at Belsen camp.  She was arrested after WW II  by British army when the camp was liberated. She was tried by Britsh military court at Luneberg in the case of Josef Kramer in a group of 45 members. She was sentenced to 10 yeras prison term at the trial for ill treatingthe inmates..

Originally he was a shop salesman, he was forced to emigrated to Hungary when Germany annexed Austria.Unable to obtain a permit in Hungary he was sent to Yugoslavia where the police sent him to the Austrian border.He travelled across Austria, Germany, Belgium and Holland with the help of the Jewish community.September 1939 arrested by the Dutch police and handed over to the Gestapo in Emmerich.November 1939 he was imprisoned in Oranienburg.July 1941 transferred to Groß-Rosen.September 1942 transferred to Auschwitz and worked in the Monowitz Buna IG factory.September 1944 transferred to Lauenhütte.January 1945 evacuated to Hannover, via Mauthausen.08 April 1945 transferred to Bergen-Belsen.Caught Typus shortly after the liberation.On 17 September 1945 he was tried at the 'Trial of Josef Kramer and Forty Four others' at , Lüneburg.by Britsih military court. He was acquiited at the trail
